Exercise Structure: A 3-day, 5 Ops Period Day SAR Simulation

Day 1: March 7, 2024

■ OPS Period 1: Incident Activation - Friday Day OPS 07:00 - 19:00

■ 0700 Operations Briefing

■ 0700-1200 Local SAR managed by Stokes County

■ 0800-0900 Breakfast

■ 1200-1300 Lunch

■ 1300-1800 Integration of regional resources (SAR & IMT) into the incident

■ 1300-1800 UAV training and coordination at the Forward Operations Base

■ 1800-1900 Dinner

■ OPS Period 2: Friday Night OPS 19:00 - 07:00

■ 1900-1930 OPS Briefing

■ We will coordinate and execute Search and Rescue (SAR) missions for the

duration of the OPS period until our available resources are depleted

■ IMT will continue to manage the #2 OPS period and build an Incident Action

Plan for Ops Period #3.

■ K9 Utilization in SAR Operations

■ Dr. Briggs / Edwin Grant

■ Dining Hall / 2000 hrs.

■ Get some rest… Saturday will be a long day.

Day 2: Mar 8, 2024

■ OPS Period 3: Saturday Day OPS 07:00 - 19:00

■ 0700-0730 OPS Briefing

■ 0800-0900 Breakfast

■ 1200-1300 Lunch

■ 0900-1800 UAV training and coordination at the Forward Operations Base

■ 0900-1800 ROV training and coordination at Camp Hanes Lake

■ 0900-1800 HRD training and coordination at the Forward Operations Base

■ We will coordinate and execute Search and Rescue (SAR) missions for the

duration of the OPS period until our available resources are depleted.

■ IMT will continue to manage the #2 OPS period and build an Incident Action Plan

for Ops Period #3.

■ OPS Period 4: Saturday Night OPS 19:00 - 07:00

■ 1900-1930 OPS Briefing

■ We will coordinate and execute Search and Rescue (SAR) missions for the

duration of OPS period until our available resources are depleted

■ IMT will continue to manage the #2 OPS period and build an Incident Action Plan

for Ops Period #3 to include a Demobilization Plan.

■ Integration of Technology in Search and Rescue Operations Roundtable

■ OPS Period 5: Sunday Day OPS 07:00 - 12:00

■ 0700-0730 OPS Briefing

■ 0800-0900 Breakfast

■ Conduct an after-action review to identify lessons learned and areas for

improvement.

■ Release Resources

■ Demobilize the Incident Management Team
